Is it the weekend ofAston Martin at the 6 Hours of Fuji? The British manufacturer, already on the podium in the first two Free Practice sessions of the 6 Hours of Fuji on Friday, dominated the standings in the third session held this Saturday morning. The Valkyrie No. 007 of Tom Gamble and Harry Tincknell was the fastest of the field with a lap of 1:29.492.
Discreet until now, the two Cadillac V-Series.Rs completed the podium with second place for Sébastien's No. 38 Bourdais, Earl Bamber and Jenson Button ahead of the No. 12 of Will Stevens, Alex Lynn and Norman Nato. The gaps were minimal, with the top three separated by just 0.031 seconds. The second Aston finished just off the podium ahead of the first. Peugeot , the number 94 of Loïc duval, Stoffel Vandoorne and Malthe Jakobsen.
On the side ofAlpine, the first A424, the nº35 of Paul-Loup Chatin, Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi took seventh place with a delay of 0.300 seconds.
Aston Martin also set the fastest time in LMGT3 with the No. 27 Vantage from Heart of Racing Team, featuring trio Mattia Drudi, Zacharie Robichon and Ian James.
