Three weeks after its historic result in Austin, Peugeot appeared at ease during this first one and a half hour driving session since the French manufacturer achieved a one-two with the n°94 of Malthe Jakobsen, Loïc duval and Stoffel Vandoorne in 1:30.152, 0.458 seconds ahead of the No. 93 of Mikkel Jensen, Jean-Éric Vergne and Paul di Resta.
The Lion brand beat both Aston Martin Valkyrie, 3rd and 4th. Porsche completed the top 5 with the number 5 of Julien Andlauer and Mathieu Jaminet, ahead of the first Toyota, the number 8 of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa. The Japanese manufacturer's car is the first beyond the second. The Alpine finished this session in 7th and 8th place. Ferrari are far away with the eighth time for AF Corse n°83, the best representative of the transalpine clan.
Akkodis ASP Team shows up for Lexus' home race
The French teams showed their strength this Friday morning since the Lexus RC F nº78 (Ben Barnicoat, Finn Gehrsitz, Arnold Robin) of Akkodis ASP Team, with whom AUTOhebdo is immersed this weekend, set the reference time for the LMGT3 category in 1:41.257.
