The 6 Hours of Fuji took a new turn with two hours left to race. After being stuck for several laps behind Nicolas Varrone (Proton Competition), Jean-Éric Vergne found an opening to allow Peugeot to take the lead.

THEAston Martin Valkyrie No. 007 brought another shake-up to the standings. Struggling on cold tires, Tom Gamble lost control of the prototype and collided with another Gaydon-based car, the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team car driven by Zacharie Robichon. Gamble and Harry Tincknell retired. Safety Car.

A perfectly timed accident for the Peugeot No. 93, which had passed through the pits just before, but terrible for the Toyota No. 7, until then second. TheAlpine No. 35 and the No. 009 Aston Martin also made a big move with a well-timed stop to allow them to move up to second and third.

The restart of the race, strangely given in the middle of the GT3s, gave the opportunity to Antonio Fuoco (Ferrari #50) to overtake Alex Riberas (Aston Martin) for the podium.

Fake race, another bogus effort, and Aston Martin will win the next race. There will be something for everyone. Maybe not for BMW. We will have to add a race to the calendar.
