This is another withdrawal for the General Motors camp from the opening of the 2026 World Championship season.EnduranceAfter Ben Keating's withdrawal from Corvette, it is Alex Lynn who must miss the first two rounds of the upcoming season.

The Hertz Team JOTA team has announced that Alex Lynn will not participate in the first two rounds of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), at Imola on April 19, and at Spa on May 9. The British driver is due to undergo a scheduled procedure to treat a recurring neck problem.

A key member of the No. 12 Cadillac crew alongside Will Stevens and Norman Nato, Lynn has been dealing with this condition since the end of the 2024 season. Until now, however, it had no impact on her performance. This is evidenced by her particularly successful 2025 season, highlighted by an important victory in São Paulo and three pole positions, including that of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The team has now chosen to take preventative action by definitively resolving this physical issue before the start of the season, via a minor procedure, in order to allow the Briton to approach the rest of the year in the best possible conditions.

For the opening round of the WEC at Imola on April 19, the No. 12 Cadillac will be driven by Will Stevens and Norman Nato. Meanwhile, the No. 38 will be driven by Sébastien Bourdais and Earl Bamber. The usual third member of this crew, Jack Aitken, will be deployed to Long Beach as part of his military service obligations. IMSA with Cadillac. Imola being a six-hour race, duos are indeed allowed.
