The transfer window for the World ChampionshipEndurance gets agitated as is often the case once the deadline for 24 Hours of Le Mans past. With three rounds remaining in the 2025 season, including Lone Star Le Mans this weekend in Austin, there are plenty of rumors swirling about who will be competing in 2026. One name in particular has been popping up in recent weeks: António Félix da Costa.
« What is certain is that I want to come back, so I will have to be with a team that allows me to do so. ", the Portuguese driver told us during the last 24 Hours of Le Mans, an event he competed in the LMP2 Pro-Am category with the AF Corse team. Eager to return to a championship he has been deprived of since his arrival at Porsche, a manufacturer he joined from the 2022-2023 season Formula E, the native of Cascais (Portugal) recently left the German manufacturer in order to regain his freedom.
Expected at Jaguar in Formula E, António Félix da Costa is therefore aiming for a steering wheel in WEC for 2026. His name has been associated with several manufacturers in recent weeks, notably at Classic Ferrari for sale and Genesis. Another possible landing point has, however, emerged in recent days, relayed by Motorsport Aktuell, with Alpine. Movement is expected to take place within the stable with the arrowed A, particularly concerning Ferdinand Habsburg and Mick Schumacher. If the Cadillac track did not succeed for the latter, he is also not certain to stay at Alpine however, since The Race speaks of an interest of McLarenAs for the Austrian, his future seems to be on hold at the French team. The arrival of the Portuguese would be a great opportunity to compensate for these possible departures. Alpine declined to comment on rumors about its drivers for the 2026 season.
