Audi wants to avoid the switch at Fuji

The Fuji route in Japan has never smiled on Audi or trio Benoit Tréluyer, André Lotterer and Marcel Fässler. The 2012 world champions at best achieved a second place on the Japanese track, the year of their coronation, beaten by the Toyota TS030 Hybrid by Alexander Wurz, Nicolas lapierre et Kazuki Nakajima.

This weekend, the drivers of the No. 18 Audi R7 e-tron quattro intend to reverse the trend of recent months with the primary aim of retaining the lead in the general classification. With 10 small units ahead of the crew Webber? Hartley? Bernhard, winner of the last two rounds at the Nürburgring and Austin, the threat Porsche is becoming more and more pressing.

“If we manage to get good mechanical grip in the last sector, we will be formidable, confesses Benoit Tréluyer.
