After announcing its driver lineups for the Hypercar category, BMW has officially revealed new driver trios in the LMGT3 category. WEC and IMSANot surprisingly, since car #46 had disappeared as early as the WEC Rookie Test in November, Valentino Rossi does not appear in the ranks of the German manufacturer for the next financial year.
Therefore, in the World Championship, the Pro seats will be occupied by the two BMW M factory drivers, Augusto Farfus and Dan Harper. The Brazilian will compete alongside Sean Gelael (Silver) and Darren Leung (Bronze) in the #32 car. The trio already raced together in the WEC during the 2024 season and achieved several successes, including a victory at Imola.
“I’m really looking forward to driving with Sean and Darren again next season,” Augusto Farfus confirms this via the official announcement. We achieved a lot of success with this trio in 2024. We are now starting our third season in the FIA WEC and have much more experience than before. Our goal is therefore to be fully competitive and fight for the world title.
Dan Harper will share the cockpit of the No. 69 BMW M4 GT3 EVO with Parker Thompson (Silver) and Anthony McIntosh (Bronze), whose participation was previously announced by AUTOhebdo. Both are also newcomers to the WRT team.
In the IMSA GTD PRO class, BMW M factory drivers Connor De Phillippi and Neil Verhagen will be the main drivers for Paul Miller Racing. They will be supported by Max Hesse in endurance races, while Dan Harper will join them for the 24 Hours of Daytona.
In the GTD category, factory driver Robby Foley will once again share the cockpit of the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 EVO with Patrick Gallagher. Francis Selldorff will join them in endurance races, and Jens Klingmann will complete the quartet at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
