Ben Barnicoat, Akkodis ASP Team WEC driver: “I’m coming back to Austin at 110%”

Injured shortly after the opening round in Qatar at the end of February, the Lexus factory driver will finally return to the WEC next week (September 5-7). From Virginia, where he was competing in the IMSA round for Vasser Sullivan, the 28-year-old Englishman spoke about his return and his recovery.

Well, we'll see you again in WEC for the first time since Qatar, after your injury. How are you feeling?

I'm very excited! The start of the season in Qatar went very well. It was my first race with Akkodis, but I've been racing for Lexus for four seasons in IMSA. So I have a good understanding
