Cadillac goes gold with JOTA

A new era begins for the American manufacturer. After two seasons with Chip Ganassi Racing, it is now under the aegis of the Hertz Team JOTA team that the Detroit (Michigan) firm will participate in the World Championship ofEndurance. A little over a month before the start of the 2025 financial year, on February 28 with the 1812 km of Qatar, it was in Paris that the General Motors brand unveiled the new livery of its two V-Series.R.

Unsurprisingly, the prototypes, which will wear the numbers 12 and 38 for this new season, will wear the gold livery with the red stripe and the sponsor Hertz, the famous car rental brand, which the British team already used for the last two years when it was a customer of Porsche. American football legend Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, remains one of the English team's teammates, with his name emblazoned on the car's rear spoiler. The now-retired Californian's favorite number during his long and successful career was 12.

With this new collaboration, the American manufacturer hopes to experience a boost, while its best result in the Endurance World Championship remains the third place obtained in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 with Alex Lynn, Earl Bamber and Richard Westbrook. Being able to double your effort over the entire season will be a significant asset in this quest for success, as will being able to count on the expertise of Sam Hignett and David Clark's troops, who managed to secure victory at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps last year with the status of a private team. Let us recall that in IMSA, the Cadillacs will be operated by Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express.

On the technical side, a wild card has been used by Cadillac for this year 2025. It concerns the electronic control system, "with the aim of improving consistency in the control zones for more consistency and reliability, and increasing the quality of the data," the manufacturer indicated during the winter. The six drivers who will represent Cadillac's interests in WEC This season will be Earl Bamber, Sébastien Bourdais, Jenson Button, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens.
