Exclusive to AUTOhebdo – Jenson Button: “If you know everything from the start, you’ll never become the best version of yourself.”

Celebrating his 46th birthday on January 19th, the man with 306 Grand Prix starts bowed out in early November, after two seasons in the WEC with Cadillac and Hertz Team Jota. Still as affable as ever, the driver who will retire in 2025 granted us an exclusive interview in the Sakhir paddock during the final round of the World Endurance Championship. It was an opportunity to look back on his illustrious career and discuss the importance of his family life.

Jenson, what were your feelings as you approached the last race of your career?

Finishing my professional career with a team like Jota means a lot to me, because this team is like a family. It makes things even more special, and the weekend was all the more enjoyable. When I'm on the track, I always want to do my best. It was a great way to end my career.
