António Félix da Costa is wasting no time. Arriving in Bahrain on Saturday, the Portuguese player experienced the final of the 2025 season of the WEC with his future teammatesAlpineAlready sporting his French national team kit on the starting grid, he took the wheel of the A424 during Sunday's Rookie Test. Driving the A424, the Portuguese driver set the fastest time of the day with a lap of 1:49.214.
The now former pilot Porsche beat out another recruit from another French manufacturer, also from the Formula E, in the person of Nick Cassidy. The New Zealander took second place driving the Peugeot 9X8 at 0.162 seconds. Behind them, it's the Frenchwoman Lilou Wadoux back in the Classic Ferrari for sale 499P, two years after his first appearance, posted the third fastest time, 0,712 seconds behind. Charles Weerts completed the top 5, just under a second back.
A Frenchman distinguished himself in LMGT3 with Hadrien David. The Frenchman, Michelin champion Le Mans Cup in LMP3 this season, set the fastest time in the category with a 2:01.801 at the wheel of an Akkodis ASP Lexus. He finished ahead of Tom Fleming in the #92 Manthey 1st Phorm championship-winning Porsche 911 GT3 R. Nicolas Lacorte finished third in the #54 Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296. Also present, Logan sargeant took fourth place with the Proton Competition Ford Mustang #77.
