The two pilots in question, Michael Shin and Kyuho Lee, will pilot in car in 2026, the first in Formula 3, the second in GB3, the British championship. The idea of the luxury manufacturer of the group Hyundai is to promote motorsport in South Korea. Their arrival marks a new chapter for the program and Genesis Magma Racing's commitment to supporting emerging talent, with the broader ambition of raising public awareness of motorsport and strengthening its commitment in Genesis' home country.
Shin and Lee will thus serve as ambassadors for motorsport in Korea, while potentially being among the successors to Mathys Jaubert, who participated in the season ofELMS in 2025 within the Trajectory Programme, and who will be a full-fledged pilot in WEC in 2026, and Dani Juncadella, who will follow the same path.
“The Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory program allowed us to prepare incredibly effectively as a team for the World Championship.”Endurance »explained Gabriele Tarquini, the team's sporting director. “This was a crucial platform that allowed Mathys Jaubert and Dani Juncadella to gain experience and demonstrate their abilities, which earned them a place on our 2026 team. This year, the Trajectory program will focus exclusively on driver development. We will closely monitor the progress of all our Trajectory drivers and support them throughout their motorsport careers.”
The two drivers will therefore have the Genesis logo on their cars and suits during the 2026 season, which will also help the brand increase its global awareness, as Genesis now wishes to enter several markets, including Europe.
