Unsurprisingly, the performances of the two Genesis Magma Racing crews were not impressive compared to the rest of the grid after the Prologue. However, the context is that of a newcomer, as is the case with...Aston Martin Last year, with the inevitable challenges and discoveries of entering the Hypercar category. Regardless of the raw results, Mathieu Jaminet adopted a measured yet optimistic tone after these first days of testing in real-world conditions.

"It went pretty well. Of course, we faced a few problems here and there, which cost us a little time on the track," he pondered. I would say, however, that it's quite normal given that we're new to the grid and starting a new program. We still managed to complete a lot of laps with both cars. With a clear objective, the Korean team can now work towards the 6 Hours of Imola starting this weekend.

"It seems quite clear where we need to go, and I think it was a very good day to begin our adventure," added the Tricolore. Of course, we can always do better with hindsight, and some situations can be approached differently, but it was very new for many people and I think that in the end, we did something quite good. We can be proud of what we accomplished.

From April 17th to 19th, the first round of this 2026 season will take place. WEC in Emilia-Romagna. For Genesis, the ranking will not be the first judge of the outcome, but the regularity and reliability of the cars already appears as the first challenge for the Black and Orange at the dawn of this first exercise.
