As every year at Imola, Ferrari is eagerly awaited by its Tifosi. The Italian manufacturer got its season off to a perfect start with a superb hat-trick at the 1812 km of Qatar, where Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina won at the wheel of the No. 50 car. The firm Maranello thus signed a resounding hat-trick in the Qatari desert.

« Morale is high after our result in Lusail, and we approach the race weekend with the same state of mind: maximum concentration and determination, explains Miguel Molina. The attitude is very positive. We also have a great opportunity to do well at Imola and continue to play a leading role in the race for the world title. »

In line with the comments made by Antonello Coletta, head of the program Endurance Before the start of the season, Ferrari's Miguel Molina underlines the importance of this meeting in order to win a world title that has eluded the Prancing Horse for two years.

« We come to Imola as championship leaders, and this race is crucial for us – it's Ferrari's home race., continues the Catalan. This is a weekend we've all been looking forward to, as racing in front of our home crowd is always special. I've been part of the Ferrari family since 2017, so I'm practically half Italian now! Joking aside, as a Ferrari factory driver, you really feel the warmth and passion of the fans. Being here is an incredible feeling; you can feel how much motorsport means to everyone. »

A victory would also allow the transalpine clan to exorcise the memory of the 2024 edition, during which victory seemed assured to Ferrari before a strategic error in the rain.

« Last year we were a little disappointed with the final result, remembers the outgoing winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. We had a good pace and the race well in hand, but ultimately we weren't able to capitalize on all the work we had done. This time, we're coming back with a solid preparation and a positive mindset. As I said, along with Le Mans, it's one of the most important races of the season for us. A few rival teams tested here after Qatar, which will make things closer. The main thing is that we have a solid base with Antonio (Fuoco), Nicklas (Nielsen), and Ferrari. We worked hard over the winter and made good progress. Now it's about building on all that to get a good result. »
