As every year, the press conference of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest on the eve of the race of 24H of Le Mans is the opportunity to discover the calendar of the World Championship ofEndurance (WEC) for next season. Thus, for 2026, no changes are to be reported; stability is the order of the day. As expected, there will still be eight rounds, all the same as in 2025. "It's a stable 2026 calendar, a promise to remain measured made to the paddock stakeholders." explained Frédéric Lequien, general director of the FIA WEC.
The 2026 season will begin in March
Qatar will therefore open the 2026 WEC season. Unlike last year, the grand finale will begin in March, not February. Thus, the two-day Prologue will take place on March 22 and 23, before the championship kicks off with the 1812km Qatar Rally on March 28.
The second meeting will take place in Imola (April 19), on the grounds of FerrariThe paddock will then head to Spa-Francorchamps (May 9) before heading to Sarthe for the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will take place on June 13 and 14, 2026. The Le Mans classic will take place on the same weekend as the Grand Prix de F1 of Barcelona.
Furthermore, after Le Mans, the championship will head to São Paulo (July 12), Austin (September 6) and Fuji (September 27). Finally, the 2026 WEC season will conclude as usual, in Bahrain (November 7) for an eight-hour race.
