New evolution, new colors and a new name, only the crews remain the same at Toyota for 2026! The stable of WEC indeed becomes Toyota Racing, removing the "Gazoo" designation from its name, which had been present since 2016. Gazoo Racing will become a separate entity, and the activities of Toyota's European motorsport branch will therefore take the simpler name of "Toyota Racing".

The Japanese manufacturer took the opportunity to unveil its new Hypercar, an evolution of the GR010 which has been competing since 2021. Now named "TR010 Hypercar", the predominantly red machine offers a very different look from that used by the Japanese brand until the 8 Hours of Bahrain, the final round of the 2025 season which allowed Toyota to win its first race of the season in WEC.

The livery used for the 2026 season is reminiscent of the one used by car #7 during the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025, a livery paying homage to those of the Toyota GT-Ones that marked the end of the 90s, without ever managing to win the Le Mans classic. It was in 2018 that the Japanese manufacturer finally broke the curse, with a first victory at Le Mans, followed by four more wins up to 2022.
