A Frenchman in the second TF Sport crew in WEC

At TF Sport, we are finally sold out in WEC ! The British team has revealed the names of the last two drivers who will complete the crew of the No. 82 Corvette. Sébastien Baud and Hiroshi Koizumi will be the two drivers who will compete in the 2024 season alongside the official Corvette driver, Dani Juncadella.

Sébastien Baud will make his debut in the World ChampionshipEndurance. The Frenchman, born in 2000 in Annecy, began his career in GT, before returning to the discipline in 2022 with a double program in GT Open and GT World Challenge Europe. Second in the Endurance Cup in the Bronze category, the Tricolore is eager to make its first appearance in the 2024 WEC season.

“I am very happy to know that I am realizing a childhood dream! It’s an honor to join such a successful team as TF Sport in the WEC. I will drive a Corvette Z06 GT3.R, a car that inspired me in the 24 Hours of Le Mans ! I'm looking forward to working with my more experienced teammates, from whom I can learn even more, especially from Dani. Thank you to the team for their trust”, rejoices the Frenchman.

Hiroshi Koizumi, aged 54, has extensive experience: he began his career in Formula 1 and, after winning the National Class of the Japanese Championship of Formula 3 in 2014, he moved to GT3 cars and finished second in the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup. After getting his first taste of the WEC by competing in the 6 Fuji 2023 Hours, Koizumi is ready to take the next step by competing in his first full season .
