A third Ferrari in the provisional WEC entry list

Classic Ferrari for sale will have a third 499P in the Hypercar category of the WEC next season, which will have 19 prototypes. This will run under the name AF Corse as a private entry with a first confirmed driver in the person of Robert Kubica.

The Pole should be accompanied by his former teammate at WRT in ELMS and 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021, Yifei Ye, as well as by the Scuderia reservist in Formula 1, Israeli Robert Shwartzman, who have not yet been confirmed. As expected, a second Porsche 963 will also be entered by Hertz Team JOTA with Dane Oliver Rasmussen as the only name announced for the moment.

An Isotta Fraschini Tipo6-C will be well entered, but surprise, it will not wear the colors of the British team Vector Sport. The two drivers announced by the Italian manufacturer are the Mexican Alejandro Garcia (20 years old) and the Frenchman Jean-Karl Vernay (36 years old), who was responsible for development. Conversely, end of the adventure for Vanwall which will no longer be there in 2024.

Among the newcomers, Dries Vanthoor is confirmed in the #15 BMW M Team WRT and Sheldon van der Linde in the #20; Mirko Bortolotti will be one of the drivers of the #63 Lamborghini Iron Lynx alongside Daniil Kvyat; Matthieu Vaxiviere will be in theAlpine No. 35 and Nicolas lapierre in n°36. Nyck de Vries will be associated with Mike conway et Kamui Kobayashi in the Toyota n ° 7.

18 cars in the WEC LMGT3 category

18 cars will be entered in the LMGT3 category. As expected, Valentino Rossi will be at the wheel of the No. 4 BMW M3 GT46 of Team WRT. The Italian should be associated with Maxime Martin. Augusto Farfus is announced in the sister car, number 31. The six Ferrari drivers are known with Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Davide Rigon in the No. 54 as well as François Heriau, Simon Mann and Alessio Rovera in the No. 55.
