Starting with a title from DTMAyhancan Güven will aim for a world title in 2026. The Turk will still be riding a Porsche and will still wear the Manthey colors since he will compete in the LMGT3 category of the WEC in 2026.
« I will not be on the DTM grid in 2026. Güven had said this about his departure from the German Touring Car Championship. This title was my childhood dream, one I worked towards for many years, and I was able to end the year by winning the crown and seeing all my efforts rewarded. It wasn't an easy decision to leave this championship. I remember the excitement of my first DTM race. With a unique opportunity in a car I had never driven before, I was able to prove my ability and move up to a full-time position the following year. This led to three fantastic seasons and a DTM championship title. Thank you for your support throughout this journey. »
