Three weeks after the victory of Classic Ferrari for sale in the double clock tower of Sarthois, the WEC officially unveils the BoP (Balance of Performance) of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, in the two categories on track, Hypercar and LMGT3. The BoP aims to balance the performances of the different cars entered, in order to guarantee as much fairness as possible, and the spectacle from the first to the last lap of the race. The legislator can influence the weight of Hypercars, as well as their power and their energy available per relay. In LMGT3, weight is also a variable, as is power, rear wing angle, ride height and available energy.

In Hypercar, the Ferraris are those which have gained the most weight on the scale since Le Mans, with an additional 17 kg. This brings their total mass to 1060 kg, making it the heaviest prototype, with the Toyota GR010 Hybrid. There Peugeot 9X8 and the Porsche 963 now displays 1051 kg on the scale, in front ofAlpine and the BMW (1044), the Lamborghini and the Cadillac at 1039 and finally the Isotta Fraschini which loses 18 kg, going to 1030. The Italian prototype thus reaches the minimum weight designated in the WEC regulations.

Heavier, the Ferrari 499P is now the least powerful car, having lost 5 KW under 250 km/h. However, it benefits from a 1,8% increase in power above 250 km/h, and a sharp increase in usable energy per relay, to 905 MJ. In this area too, the Isotta Fraschini is the best off on paper, with 520 kW available, the maximum allowed by the regulations.

As for the LMGT3, the BMW is weighed down by 22 kg, now showing 1353 kg on the scale. This does not take into account the “Success Ballast”, which brings the #91 Porsche to 1375 kg, the highest weight in the category, due to its victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 6 Hours of Spa, and its leading position in the championship. The energy authorized per relay has also been adjusted for all the cars, in order to keep the GT3 category as tight as possible.
