It is impossible not to be caught up in the fervor of the tens of thousands of spectators who gather on the Imola circuit, especially when they see a Ferrari red to take pole position! After dominating the qualifying session and then the Hyperpole of the 6 Hours of Imola, Antonio Giovinazzi wanted to thank, in Italian in the text, the many fans who made the trip this Saturday. And there will be even more on Sunday, hoping to see a Prancing Horse machine win. Last year, the 499Ps lost their footing in the various downpours that marked the event.

“Thanks to everyone, it’s always great to be at home and celebrate a pole position together! It was a good lap, the car was clearly fantastic. We’ve been doing a really good job since the first free practice. I really hope we can finish the job tomorrow, because Sunday is when you score the points. For now, we’re enjoying this moment, but we’ll refocus for tomorrow’s race. We have a good pace, we’ll have to finish the job.”

Reduced to spectators, Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado watched their teammate's laps from the garage. Without the slightest hint of apprehension or worry. The former driver of Formula 1 is still undefeated in the flying lap, having also obtained pole position in the 1812 km of Qatar at the start of the year.

“Honestly, I was very confident in what Giovinazzi was going to do. I was watching his onboard camera and it was a really nice lap. It’s the second time in a row he’s done a great lap, and we’re starting from pole position.”, said Pier Guidi, assisted by his British teammate James Calado: "I have total confidence in my teammates, and it was an incredible lap. I think the Italian crowd is helping us a lot, so thank you all! We'll do the job tomorrow, we'll really do our best."

Start at 13 p.m. this Sunday for 6 hours of racing in the certainly heated atmosphere of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari!
