2012-2015: JOTA Sport – Zytek-Nissan (ELMS)

At the creation of the World ChampionshipEndurance in 2012, JOTA Sport was only a modest team which participated in the European Le Mans Series in LM P2, with a Zytek-Nissan, after a few years in LM P1 with Zytek and Charouz at the end of the 2000s. Very quickly, the British team became a leading team in the European championship and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the second division of Endurance, culminating in a class victory in 2014 in Sarthe.

2016: G-Drive Racing – Oreca 05 / Gibson 015S

For JOTA Sport, the move to the Oreca 05 and arrival in the WEC in 2016 is also accompanied by a new partnership with the Russian team G-Drive Racing. An association which will only last one year despite three victories in the World Championship during the last three meetings and a 2nd place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The sister car, #38, retained an open chassis with the Gibson 015S, but was less successful.

2017-2020: Jackie Chan DC Racing – Oreca 07

After G-Drive, JOTA Sport joins forces with a new team, Chinese this time: Jackie Chan DC Racing. In 2017, the Sino-British association created a sensation during the 24 Hours of Le Mans by placing its two LM P2s... on the podium in the general classification, behind the Porsche victorious! JOTA came close to an overall victory, which would have been a resounding achievement. However, the team scored its first double in LM P2 in Sarthe that year. The rest will also be very prolific, with 9 victories between 2017 and 2020, but without ever winning the LM P2 title in WEC. In 2020, during the Covid crisis, Jackie Chan DC Racing entered only one car, the No. 38 taking the name JOTA.

2021-2022: JOTA Sport – Oreca 07

In 2021, JOTA Sport decides to enter under its own name, after partnerships with G-Drive and Jackie Chan DC Racing. Very quickly, the English team became one of the references in the LM P2 category, especially with the “Mighty 38” which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the LM P2 champion title in 2022 for the first time in the history of the stable.

2023-2024: Hertz Team JOTA – Porsche 963

Building on its experience and its LM P2 title, JOTA Sport decided to take the plunge and arrive in the premier category, Hypercar, as a Porsche customer team. If its debut is delayed until 2023, with a first start in Hypercar on the third round only (JOTA enters two LM P2s in the meantime), the Hertz Team JOTA, supported by the legend of American football Tom Brady, quickly takes the measure of its new machine. The British team is on par – or even better – with the official Porsche Penske team, and the consecration will come during the 6 2024H of Spa with a first victory in the WEC! JOTA becomes the first customer team to win in the World Endurance Championship since its creation in 2012.

The success encountered in LM P2 and then in Hypercar gives serious credit to the Hertz Team JOTA which obtained, this Tuesday, the ultimate recognition: becoming an official factory team by joining forces with Cadillac! In 2025, the British team will work directly with the American manufacturer in the development and operation of the two V-Series.R. With the sole objective, the title of World Endurance Champion and an overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
