McLaren released a video on Tuesday of the engine of its LMDh, which came to life for the first time on the test benches in Woking, England.

VIDEO – The sound of the McLaren LMDh engine

The twin-turbo V6 engine that will be installed in its LMDh, currently known by the code name "Project: Endurance ", therefore, began its bench testing, one year before its competitive debut in the World Endurance Championship. The team of Woking indicates that two identical engines are currently being tested, and that they have already virtually completed their first laps of the Circuit des 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The McLaren team, which will run its LMDh with United Autosports, is expected to conduct its first tests around May, and has already announced its first driver, the Dane Mikkel Jensen.
