Julien Andlauer elected “Revelation of the Year” 2024 in WEC

After Doriane Pin in 2023, it was another Frenchman who received the honorary title of "Revelation of the Year" at the World Championship.Endurance in 2024. Julien Andlauer was celebrated by the WEC Sunday evening, during the awards ceremony held in Bahrain, the day after the final round of the championship.

For its first season in the premier category on the Porsche 963 privately owned by the Proton Competition team, the Lyonnais produced a full season, marked by some brilliant flashes of brilliance. His magnificent performance at the 6 Hours of Spa, last May, will remain among the highlights of this 2024 campaign. Performances that did not go unnoticed, since Julien Andlauer will have the privilege of drive for the official Porsche Penske Motorsport team in 2025.

In addition to the Hypercar and LMGT3 champions, other personalities were celebrated and honoured on Sunday evening during the ceremony. The Sports Racer of the Year award went to Ian James (Heart of Racing), the Goodyear Wingfoot Award – for consistency in LMGT3 – went to Alessio Rovera (Vista AF Corse) and the DHL Sustainability Award, for efforts made in social and environmental responsibility, went to Alpine via his team director Philippe Sinault.

Laura Wontrop Klauser, outgoing head of motorsports at General Motors, and Nicolas lapierre, newly retired driver and future sports director ofAlpine, were also celebrated and rewarded for their contribution to the Endurance World Championship.
