As usual, Renault is making a complete mess of things. They'd be better off selling their F1 team, which has no...Alpine The name, and certainly not the DNA, was more in line with the brand's history. WEC was more in line with the brand's history.

And the women and men of the team Alpine In the WEC, what will become of them??? Human beings are once again being sacrificed for the sake of profitability. The same goes for Dacia in rally raid.

Well, is anyone surprised? Provost, the new CEO, former head of purchasing and Chinese partnerships, with his seminarian face, you can't count on him to have any fun at Renault. For him, the future lies in outsourcing the design of all the group's future models to China, and minimizing manufacturing in Europe to avoid tariffs. The Chinese don't compete and they're barging into every global market without a hitch. That said, he's doing his job according to the environment he finds. Thanks to Jack Leclerc and all his bourgeois buddies, France is now a country that trains more sociology students than engineers. But it's true that we no longer have industries to hire them, so there's no point in training them anymore.

This withdrawal is not exactly breaking news.ALPINE Unlike Dacia, which is ending its W2RC campaign after a victory at the 2026 Dakar Rally, the WEC is now looking to sell its assets. ALPINE F1, which should happen mid-season once we have a clearer picture of everyone's performance, a period that will practically coincide with the end of Christian Horner's mandatory "gardening leave" if he decides to invest in F1 with or without the support of financial partners! Renault Group has bet on 100% electric vehicles with dedicated platforms that are far from being recouped due to the anticipated volume, and now it's necessary to invest in existing ICE and HEV platforms to extend their lifespan, develop more modern ones, or even buy them off the shelf... from Geely, for example! The saga isn't over yet.

Too bad... for Renault, motorsport is almost over, all that remains is to finalize the sale of F1 to Horner.
