Peugeot brings change for the 2024 season WEC. Beyond a major evolution of the 9×8 concerning the size of the tires and the probable presence of a rear wing, the French manufacturer has also decided to make changes to its crews.

Stoffel Vandoorne will be the only newcomer as a starter, he who was until now a reserve, replacing Gustavo Menezes numerically. The Belgian will be installed, like the American previously, in the No. 94. Loïc duval will still be at the wheel of this car, but another modification should be noted in the trio of this car with Paul di Resta in place of Nico Müller.

The Swiss thus exchanges places with the Scotsman and will ride in 2024 in the No. 93 alongside Mikkel Jensen and Jean-Éric Vergne. “ The level of competition in the FIA WEC is such that no parameter should be neglected and we are taking advantage of this studious off-season to try to optimize each of them, explains Olivier Jansonnie, Peugeot Sport technical director. The composition of the crews is an important piece of the puzzle, but the information recorded during the race and in tests convinced us that we could still refine it. We are fortunate to have six very talented drivers, and we have therefore chosen to optimize car by car by grouping them by set-up affinities for the benefit of performance. »

Malthe Jakobsen will be Peugeot's reserve driver in 2024.
