Pole position for Antonio Fuoco at Spa: “It’s all a question of feeling”

After achieving pole position at Imola, Antonio Fuoco does it again this time during the 6 Hours of Spa. The driver of the #51 Ferrari flew over the Hyperpole, setting a 2'02"600.

After pole position at Imola last April, Antonio Fuoco did it again with the best qualifying time for the 6 Hours of Spa this Saturday. The driver of the No. 51 completed a fantastic last lap which allowed him to get ahead of the Porsche n°5 of 0″507, then helped by the stop on the track of theAlpine No. 35 which prematurely ended the session.

Despite a Bop against them, the Team Ferrari managed to snatch the best time from the Hyperpole. Antonio Fuoco once again demonstrated to what extent he sublimates this 499P in the qualifying exercise.

“I had confidence in the car, breathes the Italian pilot. Since last year, whenever I have to go get the time, I've been able to get the most out of the car. It's all about feeling with the car, to be honest. I felt really good in the car. We've worked very well this weekend so far, I'm happy. »

Ferrari in difficulty for the race?

Regarding the 6 Hours of Spa this Saturday, the native of Cariati expects to suffer, in particular because of the tires. “I think it will be really difficult tomorrow in terms of tires, that's why we will have to manage them as best as possible, explains the person concerned. We saw during the tests that it was very hard… But we will do our best. We worked hard during the weekend sessions to improve the car. We will see tomorrow exactly where we will be compared to the others. »
