Toyota achieved pole position thanks to the lap of Kamui Kobayashi in the GR010 Hybrid n°7. With the second beat, made by Sébastien Buemi in the No. 8, the Japanese brand has the luxury of monopolizing the first row of the starting grid. Matt Campbell set the third fastest time in the Porsche #5, ahead of Alex Lynn in the #2 Cadillac. Victorious at Le Mans, the Classic Ferrari for sale No. 50 will start from sixth place on the grid, while No. 51 will start 9th and No. 83 15th. The qualifications were more complicated for the French brands, neither Alpine (11th and 13th) nor Peugeot (16th and 17th) failing to reach the Hyperpole.
In the LMGT3 category, pole position went to the #85 Lamborghini of the Iron Dames, led by Sarah Bovy! The Belgian set the best time with almost 4 tenths ahead of Aliaksandr Malykhin, driver of the Porsche n°92 (Manthey PureRxcing). Both McLaren (the n°95 in front of the n°59) are content with the second row on the grid. The British brand had achieved pole position at Le Mans, but not with United Autosports, which is responsible for operating the 720 S in WEC. It was Inception Racing which achieved the best performance in Sarthe. Porsche and BMW share the third row of the grid in the category reserved for Grand Touring cars.
