There have already been many changes regarding the crews of WEC for the 2026 season, but Team WRT – which has just announced its line-ups for the WEC and theIMSA – chooses stability.

On the WEC side, where the BMW M Team WRT is fielding the BMW M Hybrid V8 for a third consecutive season, there will be no change in the Hypercar category. Kevin MagnussenRaffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor will drive car #15, while car #20 will be driven by Robin Frijns, René Rast and Sheldon van der Linde.

The driver lineups for the BMW M4 LMGT3 EVO cars that will compete in the LMGT3 category of the WEC will be "announced in due course"As the official announcement explains, the two Bronze riders are already known: Briton Darren Leung and American Anthony McIntosh.

“We are delighted to announce our IMSA and WEC drivers, and to see such stability in the lineups, confides Vincent Vosse, the team's director. This stability speaks volumes and is a valuable asset as we continue to progress towards our goals. In the WEC, we are retaining the same driver lineups. In IMSA, for what will be our first season and the major challenge of our 2026 season, there is a slight reshuffling, although the drivers remain the same. I am also very pleased to unveil the first part of our LMGT3 lineups for the WEC. It's a great pleasure to have Darren back with us, and we are delighted to welcome such an enthusiastic newcomer as Anthony. I am confident that with this group of drivers, and those yet to be named, we can aim for excellent results.

In America, the No. 24 car will be driven by Sheldon van der Linde and Dries Vanthoor for the sprint races. They will be joined by Robin Frijns for the endurance races, while René Rast will complete the quartet entered in the 24 Hours of Daytona, the season's opening round. The crew of the No. 25 BMW M Hybrid V8 will consist of Philipp Eng and Marco Wittmann for the classic races. Kevin Magnussen will provide additional support for the endurance races, and Raffaele Marciello will be the fourth driver entered at Daytona.
