The entry list for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the third round of the 2025 World Championship seasonEndurance, has been unveiled. Some changes are to be noted for this event, particularly in the Hypercar category. Several drivers entered in IMSA the same weekend at Laguna Seca in California will not be present in Belgium, like Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet at Porsche. They will be replaced by Pascal Wehrlein and Nico Müller. The two men will make their debut with the German manufacturer in the Hypercar category in order to prepare for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the German will be lined up in the third official 963 and where the Swiss will have the role of reservist.
BMW with duos at Spa-Francorchamps
Two absences are also to be noted on the BMW side for the same reasons: Dries Vanthoor and Sheldon van der Linde. The two men will not be replaced for this round and it is therefore duos who will represent the propeller company on the Toboggan des Ardennes. Two other duos will be aligned in the Hypercar category on the side ofAston MartinThis will not be a new feature, as it was already the case at the 6 Hours of Imola. It was a duo that won in 2024 with Callum Ilott and Will Stevens in the No. 963 Porsche 12 of the Hertz Team JOTA team.
Esteban Masson, who finished on the podium in the Italian GT3 class, will not be present in Belgium. This time, Japanese driver Yuichu Nakayama will be in the Akkodis ASP Team No. 78 Lexus RC F to replace the injured Ben Barnicoat. It should also be noted that Christian Ried is not in the line-up for the Mercedes-AMG No. 61 of the Iron Lynx team, but no other names have been communicated alongside Lin Hodenius and Maxime Martin.
