The Revelation of the year 2023 in WEC is Doriane Pin!

Dorian Pin could not end his sublime season without leaving with a trophy in his pocket. It is now done: during the prize-giving ceremony of the World Championship ofEndurance, the Frenchwoman received the title of Revelation of the Year 2023 in WEC. The 19-year-old driver became the first woman to receive this trophy in the history of the discipline.

A way to reward a great year in prototype, his first in WEC. “Pocket Rocket” discovered LM P2 this season with PREMA, in the company of Mirko Bortolotti and Daniil Kvyat, and showed himself to be at the level from his first laps at Sebring with a first podium in Florida. If the results do not reflect the level displayed by the trio and by the young Tricolore, with a notable abandonment to 24 Hours of Le Mans on an off-track by Danill Kvyat, Doriane Pin has always stood out for her enthusiasm and speed in the LM P2 category, despite her limited experience with the Oreca 07.

Being crowned Revelation of the Year in a championship as prestigious and competitive as the WEC means a lot to me. It reflects all the work I have done this year. I will remember this year for a long time, my first season in the WEC for the Iron Dames project, my first podium at Sebring and my first 24 Hours of Le Mans. Let's also not forget that in 2023, Doriane Pin also distinguished herself in IMSA with Iron Dames, notably at Daytona and Petit Le Mans where she led the race at the start of the event. “I am very happy for Doriane this evening and I congratulate her from the bottom of my heart, reacted Deborah Mayer, founder of the Iron Dames project.
