The Genesis Magma Racing GMR-001 completed a 30-hour endurance test at MotorLand Aragón, as the team continues its preparations for its planned debut in WEC in 2026.
It was the first time the car had run with its red and orange livery inspired by Magma lava, and the first opportunity for Mathieu Jaminet to get behind the wheel of the GMR-001. André Lotterer, Pipo Derani, Mathys Jaubert, Dani Juncadella, and reserve driver Jamie Chadwick also shared stints during long sessions in changing conditions. Paul-Loup Chatin was not present as the Essonne native is committed to Alpine until the end of the year.
The Korean manufacturer's objective in Spain was to accumulate mileage, validate the reliability of all systems and fine-tune operations with all drivers.
