4 Hours of Sepang – Race 2: Algarve Pro Racing wins under red flag

• The second race of the Sepang 4 Hours, the opening round of the 2024-2025 Asian Championship season, will be held in Le Mans Series, did not go to its conclusion. Bad weather disrupted the smooth running of the event, interrupted by a red flag just under an hour before its scheduled finish. Victory went to the Oreca n°25 of the Algarve Pro Racing team and its trio formed by Valerio Rinicella, Michael Jensen and Malthe Jakobsen. The driver Peugeot was the strong man behind this success by taking control of the event in the rain.
• Victorious in the first race on Saturday, the French team RD Limited took second place this Sunday with Fred Poordad, Tristan Vautier and James Allen. The Australian also made a great comeback on a wet track to lift the red and black car to second place. Romain Dumas' team occupies the lead in the championship after this first meeting of the year.
• The podium was completed by the other Algarve Pro Racing car, the No. 20 co-driven by Kriton Lentoudis, Olli Caldwell and Alex Quinn.
• In LM P3, victory went as the day before to Stéphane Lemeret, Matteo Quintarelli and Bence Valint. In GT, Jules Gounon won at the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO n°81 which he shares with Gabriele Piana and Rinat Salikhov.
• The rest of the 7-9 Asian Le Mans Series season will now take place until the weekend of February 2025-2024, 2025. The next two rounds will take place in Dubai.
