  • The Asian Le Mans Series has rarely been as hectic as in this fourth round of the 2024 season! Safety Cars, accidents, big battles and even a red flag: to say that these 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi were lively would even be an understatement. And it was at the end of a fantastic comeback, after a very laborious start, that the No. 4 crew of the Crowdstrike Racing by APR team (Jakobsen – Braun – Kurtz) won on the Yas Marina circuit. !
  • Fifth on the starting grid, George Kurtz had a very complicated first stint, penalized several times and spinning in the first laps of the race at turn 14, fortunately without consequences. When Colin Brawn took the wheel of the No. 4 Oreca, the American was one lap behind the leaders! Nevertheless, thanks to impressive stints from Colin Brawn then Malthe Jakobsen, the Portuguese mount managed to come back to take control of the race 20 minutes from the finish, a few moments after the post-red flag restart.
  • AF Corse was in the lead for a long time with the No. 07 Oreca 83, but the red flag displayed one hour from the end disrupted the Italian team's plans. Force to change driver at relaunch, trans trainingalpine could not resist the resounding return of Crowdstrike Racing by APR. Matthieu Vaxiviere, Alessio Rovera and François Perrodo must therefore be content with 2nd place.
  • The last 20 minutes of the race were hotly contested for the last round on the podium in LM P2, but at the finish, it was the #3 DKR Engineering which managed to beat the #90 TF Sport and the Proton Competition n°22 to get on the box.
  • This penultimate round of the season in ALMS completely reshuffles the cards in the LM P2 and GT championships. In total confusion under Safety Car, the No. 99 Oreca of the 99 Racing team (leading the LM P2 championship before the start) hit the car head-on. Porsche 911 GT3 R n°91 from PureRxcing (leading the GT championship before the start at the first corner! The two cars, seriously damaged, were forced to retire! Suspense assured before the final round, from this Sunday, still in Abou Dhabi.

  • The red flag was displayed after an accident involving the #86 GR Racing and the #95 TF Sport, which collided at high speed at the end of the long straight of the Emirati track. By wanting to fall back on the trajectory, the Ferrari Ricardo Pera touched theAston Martin of Ben Tuck, before colliding head-on with the interior barrier, car destroyed. If the driver is fine, the stewards did not hesitate long before interrupting the race with a red flag.
  • In the other two categories, CD Sport won in the LM P3 class with the trio Michael Jensen – Nick Adcock – Fabien Lavergne, while the Triple Eight team won these 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi in the GT thanks to Jordan Love, Luca Stolz and Abdul Rahman Ibrahim.
