We were expecting a second Oreca 07 for Nielsen Racing, and here it is. The British team announced last October its desire to double its workforce in 2024, whether in ALMS, in ELMS and even to 24 Hours of Le Mans. This is now done for the Asian competition, since a second LM P2 will be at the start of the last three rounds of the season in Dubai then in Abu Dhabi, next February.
The No. 07 Oreca 34 will be entrusted to a trio of English speakers, with the Americans Blake McDonald and Patrick Liddy, and the British Matt Bell. The No. 24, for its part, will once again be driven by Ian Loggie, Alex Garcia and Ferdinand Habsburg.
We said two is better than one… Starting with the UAE rounds of the Asian Le Mans!

Blake McDonald and Patrick Liddy will both discover the Asian Le Mans Series in LMP2. The first joins the team after participating in competitions in 2023 Porsche and Lamborghini, while the second was part of the Forte Racing team aboard the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 in IMSA, in the GTD category, with a notable victory at Petit Le Mans. Matt Bell, meanwhile, is a regular with the Nielsen Racing clan in the Le Mans Cup and Asian Le Mans Series, where he was part of the LM P2 team that won the title in 2022.
