GTP

The No. 31 Cadillac retained the benefit of its pole position at the start of these 12 hours from Sebring ! Pipo Derani ensured his start and is in the lead after an hour of racing, ahead of the No. 01 Cadillac of Sébastien Bourdais and the No. 40 Acura WTRAndretti of Louis Delétraz.

On the Proton side, however, it was not the expected start: the Porsche #5 driven by Julien Andlauer was penalized with a drive-through for having changed its tires after the installation lap. The #24 BMW also suffered an early mishap, with a slow puncture forcing Philipp Eng to pit prematurely. However, the deployment of a Full Course Yellow to remove debris on the track erased the delay taken by the two German mounts.

The #7 Porsche and the #85 JDC-Miller Porsche were delayed in the pit lane and returned to the final two spots in the GTP class.

LM P2

Heartbreak for the No. 04 Oreca of the Crowdstrike Racing team, which was fighting for the first positions: George Kurtz drove over a piece of debris on the start-finish straight and suffered a puncture. After a slow lap, the American had to return to the pits and come out two laps behind the LM P2 peloton. It's the No. 52 Oreca from the Inter Europol Competition team that leads the way, ahead of the two United Autosports.

GTD Pro / GTD

The start was eventful among the GTs: the Ferrari Davide Rigon's #62 Risi Competizione spun at the first corner after contact with the #64 Ford Multimatic. In the confusion, the McLaren Pfaff Motorsports #9 swerved suddenly to its left, hitting another McLaren in the process, the #70 from the Inception Racing team. The #9 McLaren, which suffered a puncture, returned to its garage for repairs before leaving with a dozen laps behind.

Vasser Sullivan retained the lead in the GTD Pro and GTD categories: the #14 Lexus, which started from pole position, is still in the lead after an hour of racing, while the #12 Lexus leads the GTD category. One retirement to note after only two laps: the No. 17 AWA Racing Corvette, victim of an alternator problem.
