Who will succeed Dane Cameron and Nick Tandy (Porsche) at the top of the ranking of theIMSA The answer will be given on October 11th at the end of the 10-hour race at Road Atlanta. Tandy is well positioned to retain his title, but he is only second in the standings with his new teammate Felipe Nasr. The Porsche duo is 131 points behind the other Porsche driven by Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet.

Their duel is actually a three-way match with the BMW of Philipp Eng and Dries Vanthoor, lying in wait 14 points behind Tandy-Nasr. All these great players will benefit from reinforcements for the final round of the year. For Petit Le Mans, Julien Andlauer will join Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet in the #6 Porsche, while Laurens Vanthoor will join the #7 crew. No sign of Kévin Estre on the horizon, however.

At BMW, it's Kevin Magnussen which joins the No. 24 of D. Vanthoor and Eng, while the No. 25 will be entrusted to Marco Wittmann, Sheldon van der Linde and Robin Frijns. On the Cadillac side, Will Stevens will be in the No. 10 with Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque, Frederik Vesti will join Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber in the No. 31, and Norman Nato will be associated with Louis Delétraz and Jordan Taylor in the No. 40.

For its last race before its withdrawal from IMSA, Lamborghini will line up Romain Grosjean, returned from his test in F1 with Haas, Daniil Kvyat and Edoardo Mortara. We will also have to keep an eye on the debuts of Neel Jani and Max Esterson in the privateer Porsche No. 85. The American is coming off a season of Formula 2 blank of points with Trident, where he teamed up with the Frenchman Sami Meguetounif (2 points).

At Aston MartinAlex Riberas completes the crew of the No. 23 with Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis. Finally, at Acura, Scott Dixon will be at the wheel of the No. 60 and the Frenchman Tristan Vautier will pilot the No. 93.

In addition to the 12 GTPs, there will be 12 LMP2s, 10 GTD Pros and 19 GTDs, for a total of 53 crews.

You have a good eye, Olivier! This was indeed an unfortunate oversight, which has just been corrected. Thank you for your vigilance. 😁
