Eight French drivers are in Florida this weekend to compete in the pre-season tests of theIMSA at Daytona. Only one, however, is competing in the GTP category: Julien Andlauer in the Porsche 963 nº6 from Porsche Penske Motorsport.
The category in which the French are most represented is LMP2 with four drivers: Sébastien Bourdais At Tower Motorsports, Charles Milesi with TDS Racing, Tom Dillmann for Inter Europol Competition, and finally Tristan Vautier for Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen. Bourdais had won in 2025 before his team's car was disqualified because post-race inspections revealed excessive wear on the underbody protection block, exceeding the permitted limit by five millimeters.
