Nick Tandy will be behind the wheel of the Porsche Rexy in 2026

Coveted by Alpine to represent the French manufacturer in WECNick Tandy stays at PorscheAlthough he will no longer be driving the 963 in the GTP category, the Briton will still be behind the wheel of a car from the German brand, but now in GTD Pro. The 41-year-old Briton, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans In 2015, he will represent AO Racing and drive the famous "Rexy" with its dinosaur livery. He will be partnered for the entire season with Harry King, Gold category champion in theEndurance Cup of the GT World Challenge Europe in the team of Max Verstappen.

I'm thrilled to be joining the team next year. Rexy is one of the most iconic racing cars of the modern era. I've already reconnected with many friends within the team, and I'm looking forward to racing with them again. I'll also be getting to know some new drivers. I've known Harry and Alessio for a while now. They are both exceptionally fast and dedicated professionals, and I can't wait to see what the season holds. »

The third driver called up for the Endurance Cup rounds is already familiar with the team, having raced with AO Racing at the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring this year: Belgian driver Alessio Picariello. Laurin Heinrich, who has been driving the "Rexy" for the past few seasons, will compete in the GTP category with Porsche Penske Motorsport in 2026.
