In the final moments of the 24 Hours of Daytona, one could almost have believed in an unexpected comeback for the No. 31 Cadillac. Driven by Jack Aitken, Connor Zilisch, Earl Bamber, and Frederik Vesti, the American car failed to secure victory in Florida, finishing a second and a half behind its predecessor. Conversely, the Porsche The No. 7 car, driven by Julien Andlauer, Laurin Heinrich, and especially Felipe Nasr at the end of his stint, did not falter. Admittedly, the Brazilian put up a strong defense when Jack Aitken tried to overtake the Penske-entered car. However, the GTP's speed, combined with the solid driving of its crew, left little room for the other manufacturers to shine.
More generally, the Porsche crews tended to dominate the rest of the grid. With 375 laps led out of 705, the No. 7 Porsche effectively cemented its dominance, while the No. 6 crew, finishing fourth at the Speedway, still led the rest of the field for no fewer than 176 laps. In total, the victorious GTP completed the race in 24 hours, one minute, twenty seconds, and 108 thousandths of a second.

One thing is certain: having already won the category a few months ago, the Porsche drivers, now free of their commitment in WEC, will be able to focus exclusively on winning in ISMA.
