The French driver will thus have the opportunity to discover a third LMDh/GTP prototype, after having notably driven the Cadillac V-Series.R during the test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024, where he was a reserve driver for the American brand. This season, he took part in the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring in the Porsche 963 of the Proton Competition.
If the latter is still not sure of playing in the final of theIMSATristan Vautier will be there as a backup on the #93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura. He will team up with Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly, as Kakunoshin Ohta, the crew's third driver in the early-season Endurane races, will not be available for the weekend of October 11 and 12.
This is an opportunity for Tristan Vautier to add another race to his busy 2025 schedule, as he also represented Romain Dumas' team, RD Limited, in the Asian Le Mans Series earlier this year, finishing second in the championship. Vautier also competes in the European Le Mans Series with CLX, a team with which he also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, notably alongside Tom Blomqvist.
The two men will also team up at Petit Le Mans, with the Englishman driving the No. 60 Acura alongside Colin Braun. The two men will be joined in Georgia by the six-time champion. IndyCar Scott Dixon, who had already been part of the game at the start of the season for Daytona and Sebring. So there is no trace of Alex Palou, whose trial before the London Commercial Court pits him against McLaren started this Monday.
