Era Motorsport has just announced a promising driver lineup for the 24 Hours of Daytona. Among the four drivers who will participate in the twice-around-the-clock race at the wheel of the #18 ORECA 07 LMP2 at the end of January, we will notably find the former driver of Formula 1 Logan sargeantAt home, the American will be partnered with the champion. WEC, from the Asian Le Mans Series and European Le Mans Series, Ferdinand Habsburg, as well as Naveen Rao. The trio will be joined by an FIA Silver driver whose name has not yet been revealed.
2026 will mark Sargeant's first-ever participation in the Rolex 24, which will finally allow him to try his luck in his home state of Florida.
“I’m very excited to be competing in my first ever Daytona 24 with Era to kick off 2026,” Sargeant confirms this via the official announcement. "This is a race I've always wanted to participate in, as it takes place very close to home. It will be fantastic to get to know my teammates and give it my all to win a Rolex at the end of the race."
And Habsburg added: “I’m really looking forward to working with Era Motorsport. They showed in 2024 that they know how to win this race, and I’m going to give it my all to make sure that happens again this year. I almost won this Rolex in 2022, and this year could finally be the one.”
Team owner Kyle Tilley is delighted to welcome these talents to the structure for 2026. “I am convinced that this year will be fantastic,” did he declare. Even though this represents a big change from our 2025 season, everyone has been fantastic and has already proven their driving abilities. The LMP2 category is more competitive than ever, so we know it's going to be tough. But like every year, we're here to win and we'll do whatever it takes to achieve that.
2026 will mark Era Motorsport's seventh year of participation in the LMP2 category of the championship IMSAWith two victories at the Rolex 24 and two podium finishes in the championship, the team intends to continue to leave its mark on the category.
