Present on the entry list for the pre-season testing of the 24 Hours of Daytona, Álex Palou, Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist join the Acura roster for the 2025 season of theIMSA.
Dixon, a three-time overall winner of the Florida classic (2006, 2015, 2020), and Rosenqvist, a Meyer Shank Racing driver in IndyCar, will join Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun in the No. 60. The New Zealander will drive in the rounds of theEndurance Cup while the Swede will be the fourth man at Daytona, his last appearance on the double-clock race dates back to 2018.
Palou will be the third man for the Endurance Cup rounds in the #93 Acura, alongside newcomers Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly. This will be the first time that the Spaniard will compete in so many races in the North American Endurance Championship. In recent years, he had the opportunity to participate twice in the 24 Hours of Daytona, in 2022 and 2024, each time with Cadillac. With his Chip Ganassi Racing team no longer linked to General Motors, it makes sense to find the Catalan with the Japanese manufacturer, who is powered by Honda in IndyCar.

« I am very excited to join Meyer Shank Racing and Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) for IMSA endurance racing next year, Palou rejoices. It will be really cool to work with some of the drivers I know really well and see what we can do at Daytona in January. I have to thank Mike (Shank) and HRC for this opportunity and I'm ready to go at Daytona! »

In addition to our four full-season drivers, this is a team of proven champions and winners. Everyone at HRC US is excited for the IMSA Championship to begin and the new challenges it will present to the men and women of MSR and HRC. We can’t wait for 2025! »
A fourth driver will be announced later to complete the #93 crew at the 24 Hours of Daytona. It could be Kakunoshin Ohta. The 25-year-old Japanese finished 4th in the Super Formula championship by winning the last two races of the year at Suzuka. The 2022 Super Formula Lights runner-up is at Daytona this weekend for pre-season testing where he will drive the Acura ARX-06 for the first time.
