Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports will enter two examples in IMSA in the GTD Pro class from the 24 2024 Hours of Daytona.

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R in competition from 2024

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R has its future mapped out. The presentation made by the American brand in the Watkins Glen paddock, on the sidelines of the raceIMSA, allowed us to better understand the future races of the competition version of the legendary US sports car

Its debut is planned for the 24 Hours of Daytona 2024. The Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports team, entered in GTE and GTD Pro, will continue to ensure an official entry in GTD Pro, at Daytona as well as throughout the the 2024 IMSA season, with two cars:

The drivers chosen for this program have not yet been revealed. Likewise, other teams will enter Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs independently; the names of the client teams will be announced in early summer.

“Chevrolet and Pratt Miller have collaborated on the Corvette Racing program for over 25 years, and we are excited to continue together in the GT3 era”, said Christie Bagne, Corvette Z06 GT3.R program manager.

Corvette Z06 GT3.R customer teams will compete under the entity Corvette Racing, which will also include customer and technical support to help continue Corvette Racing's tradition of excellence that began in 1999.

Chevrolet Motorsports Competition Engineering and Pratt Miller began planning for the Corvette GT3 era more than two years ago. Pratt Miller – located in New Hudson, Michigan – is the manufacturer of the Z06 GT3.R. Pratt Miller engineers have worked with Chevrolet Motorsports engineers on development, construction and testing to date.

“It makes sense for Corvette Racing and Pratt Miller Motorsports to lead the competition element of the Z06 GT3.R program in the GTD PRO Championship starting in 2024, continued Bagne. We couldn't have a better representative than the same group that participated in the development, building and testing processes of our new Corvette race car. The lessons we learn from testing and competition will be passed on to our other Z06 GT3.R customer teams to ensure the Corvette brand is a championship contender around the world. »
