The manufacturer from Sant'Agata Bolognese also specified that its technical director, Rouven Mohr, will serve as interim head of sporting activities pending the appointment of a successor.
Having taken over as head of Lamborghini Squadra Corse in January of this year, Maurizio Leschiutta has largely contributed to the brand's sporting successes during the 2025 season. Among the highlights of his tenure is the historic overall victory at the 24 Hours of Spa, achieved in collaboration with Grasser Racing Team and official drivers Mirko Bortolotti, Luca Engstler and Jordan Pepper.
Beyond on-track results, Leschiutta also oversaw the development of several major projects for Lamborghini's motorsport program. Under his leadership, the Italian marque completed the design of the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 and Temerario Super Trofeo. Both models will make their respective debuts at the 2026 12 Hours of Sebring. IMSA, then in the European, North American and Asian Super Trofeo championships from 2027.
In a statement, Automobili Lamborghini expressed its gratitude to Maurizio Leschiutta for " his commitment, his professionalism and his dedication "Throughout his year with Lamborghini Squadra Corse, we wish him all the best for the rest of his career.
Pending the official announcement of his replacement, Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer of Lamborghini, will therefore assume the role of interim motorsport director, ensuring the continuity of the brand's sporting programs.
