After rally, rally-raid and hill climb, a new adventure presents itself for the RD Limited team: theEndurance. On Tuesday, when the list of entrants for the 2024-2025 season of the Asian Le Mans Series, the structure founded by Romain Dumas was registered in the LM P2 category with an Oreca 07. A first in Endurance for the Alès team which aspires to bigger projects in the future and which enters the discipline directly through the front door by entering the premier category of the ALMS.

"It's still a little early to reveal everything but the team is ambitious, says Romain Dumas, 2016 Endurance World Champion and three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (two overall victories, one category victory). We have gathered some great elements. Until now we had raced in rally, rally raid & at Pikes Peak. This is a new important step because endurance means so much in my career. We want to do things in a very professional & qualitative way, in a particularly high-level category. It is one of the most beautiful in terms of competitiveness. The Asian LMS offers a perfect format. Today, it is a bit like the green flag for us. Looking forward to the next one!

While the identity of the drivers for the Asian Le Mans Series campaign has not been announced, Romain Dumas has not yet indicated whether he would be up for taking a seat in the Oreca 07 or whether he would simply follow his team to the pit wall. The goal will obviously be to perform well in this first season and why not, aim for the title and obtain an automatic invitation to the 24 2025 Hours of Le Mans in LM P2. The 2024-2025 ALMS season will kick off on December 6 in Sepang (Malaysia).
