At first glance, it doesn't seem like much, but the event will be the first ever broadcast live in the sports category by the global streaming juggernaut. On November 14, between 15 and 18 p.m. local time, Netflix will broadcast a live program linked to the Formula 1. Driven by the undeniable success of his series Formula 1: Drive to survive, of which a season has been released every year since 2019, the American firm has decided to mix genres and two of its flagship programs by organizing an event combining F1 and golf.
While it released a series devoted to the little white ball (“Full Swing”) at the start of the year, the platform decided to surf on the world event of the Las Vegas Grand Prix to offer itself a boost of promo felt good.
In a superbly orchestrated teaser, we learn that an event will pit 4 F1 drivers and 4 golfers against each other, five days before the race takes place on the Strip, near Sin City.
The event will take place at the Wynn Las Vegas, and should be like a round of golf. The excellent pilot-golfers that are Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris and Alex Albon will obviously be there. They will also be accompanied by the French Pierre Gasly, the level of which is less known.
On the pro golf side, Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas will represent their discipline. The teaser (visible below) doesn't detail anything about the program and its nature, but everything suggests that it will be a game of golf!
