The five-year agreement marks a new step in the sport's expansion strategy in the American market, and brings together the premier motorsport discipline with one of the most influential giants in global technology.

This rapprochement comes in the wake of the film's global success F1: The Movie, an Apple Original Production released last June, has already generated nearly $630 million in revenue, becoming the highest-grossing sports film in history. The feature film, the result of an unprecedented three-year collaboration between Apple and F1, will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on December 12, 2025.

Through this new agreement, Apple TV will broadcast the entirety of Grand Prix weekends—free practice, qualifying, sprints, and races—with several content offerings available for free on the app. The F1 TV Premium platform will remain available in the US through an integrated subscription to Apple TV, and will be offered to its subscribers.

Apple also plans to expand F1's presence across its other services, from Apple News and Apple Music to Apple Maps, Apple Sports, and Apple Fitness+. According to the latest global F1 fan survey, nearly half of new US fans are between the ages of 18 and 24, and more than half are women—an audience that the partnership with Apple could further expand.

« This is an incredibly exciting partnership that will allow us to accelerate our growth in the United States. » said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1. Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president, added: " We look forward to delivering premium and innovative fan-centric coverage in a way that only Apple can. »

A new media era is thus opening for Formula 1, which continues to attract an ever-growing audience across the Atlantic.
