Cadillac appoints Marc Hynes as team sporting director

As the start of the 2026 season approaches Formula 1 And with Cadillac's first steps into the big leagues, the American team continues to strengthen its ranks. The latest recruit is Marc Hynes, who takes on the role of sporting director.

Long-time manager of Lewis Hamilton Between 2015 and 2021, Hynes notably managed the affairs of the seven-time world champion at the head of the company Project 44. However, the separation between the two men was made official in early February, opening the way to a new chapter.

Champion of Formula 3 British with Manor in 1999, Hynes then continued his trajectory in motorsport as head of driver development at the Marussia team, led by Graeme Lowdon, now director of Cadillac.

His ability to build bridges between the drivers, engineers and management will be essential to establishing ourselves on the starting grid. »

Drawing on his experience with Marussia, the Briton will therefore be in charge of the driver program, including the regular drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez, but also the reserve Zhou Guangyu and test pilot Colton Herta.

He joined the eleventh-ranked team on the grid at the start of his career, amidst a parallel set of F1 regulation changes. Building a new Formula 1 team is a rare challenge, acknowledges Marc Hynes. We have a strong and diverse pilot team, and I will strive to create the clarity, harmony, and discipline necessary to enable everyone, pilots and engineers alike, to perform at their best. »

The new Formula 1 entrant also unveiled an asymmetrical livery for the Super Bowl. car then took to the track for a day of filming in Sakhir on February 9 before the pre-season tests scheduled from February 11 to 13 on the same track.

A possible landing spot for Sir Lewis, in case his adventure at Scuderia doesn't extend into 2027 and he still wants to continue in F1,🤔?
