While McLaren et Aston Martin While carrying out the final livery presentations for the 2026 season, Cadillac took advantage of a filming day to officially reveal its new carWhile a show car was used in Times Square on Sunday night to showcase its debut livery, Cadillac has now applied its livery to its actual race car, the name of which has not yet been revealed.
Valtteri Bottas Sergio Pérez and his teammates took turns at the wheel of their new car, which they had already tested during the Barcelona Shakedown at the end of January. During the promotional filming days, the teams are allowed 200km (approximately two-thirds of a race distance) on specific tires supplied by Pirelli, which are not included in the season's race tire allocation. This system is useful for the teams, both for capturing video content that can be used throughout the year and for ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly before the start of official testing this Wednesday.
The first driver to get behind the wheel of the Cadillac during a shakedown at Silverstone, Sergio Pérez continues to savor these initial milestones for a team that has not yet officially received the green light to arrive in F1 eleven months ago.
“Yesterday and today mark another important milestone in the team’s Formula 1 journey. The launch of our livery for the season is a special moment for everyone involved, as it truly highlights the efforts being made to push the boundaries as we make our debut in this sport. We now have a great opportunity to build on this momentum at the upcoming tests in Bahrain, while continuing to learn more about the car’s capabilities. I know our fans will be cheering us on as we race with this livery and continue our journey together.”
Accustomed, like his teammate, to top teams, Valtteri Bottas was impressed by Cadillac's capabilities, which went in two days from a global marketing event to officially launch its 2026 campaign, to a first run in "fighting gear", after tests in Barcelona held with a provisional livery, black and featuring the Cadillac logo on its engine cover.
“Going from the unveiling of our livery at the Super Bowl to using it on the track almost immediately afterwards is an awesome way to kick off our first season. It makes everything feel very real and it’s exciting to see all that hard work come to life. The team did an incredible job designing the very first Cadillac Formula 1 Team livery. We are now fully focused on optimizing every lap during pre-season testing to understand how the car works and be in the best possible position to get off to a flying start in Melbourne. I can’t wait for the fans to see the car on the track and support us. I’m proud to represent the team as we approach the start of the season.”
Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will now have three days to take turns driving the Cadillac, with the official Bahrain tests from Wednesday to Friday.
